Jane Foster/Thor, sometimes referred to as Lady Thor, is a character popularized by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While inspired by the comic book version, the movie portrayal presents a distinct narrative.

First appearing as Jane Foster in Thor (2011), portrayed by Natalie Portman, she is an astrophysicist who encounters and develops a relationship with Thor Odinson. In Thor: Love and Thunder (2022), Jane inexplicably becomes worthy of Mjolnir, Thor's hammer, transforming into the Mighty Thor.

As the Mighty Thor, she wields Mjolnir and possesses similar powers to Thor, including superhuman strength, speed, and the ability to summon lightning. However, her transformations come at a cost, as the hammer's power saps her human strength. Ultimately, the MCU version of Jane Foster/Thor is a story of scientific intellect, love, and heroic sacrifice against formidable cosmic threats.
